Kodachrome
Paul Simon

When I think back
On all the crap I learned in high school
It`s a wonder
I can think at all
And though my lack of education
Hasn`t hurt me none
I can read the writing on the wall

Kodachrome
They give us those nice bright colors
They give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world`s
A sunny day
I got a Nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So mama don`t take my Kodachrome away

If you took all the girl I knew
When I was single
And brought them all together
For one night
I know they`d never match
My sweet imagination
Everything looks worse
In black and white

Kodachrome
They give us those nice bright colors
They give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world`s
A sunny day
I got a Nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So mama don`t take my Kodachrome away

Keep The Customer Satisfied
Simon & Garfunkel

Gee but its great to be back home
Home is where I want to be
I've been on the road so long my friend
that if you came along I know you couldn't disagree
its the same old story
Everywhere I go I get slandered
Libeled, I hear words I never heard in the bible
and I'm one step ahead of the shoeshine
Two steps away from the county line
Just trying to keep my customers satisfied
Satisfied

Deputy sheriff said to me
tell me what you came here for boy
You better get your bags and flee
You're in trouble boy
And now you're heading into more
Its the same old story
Everywhere I go
I get slandered
Libeled
I hear words I never heard in the bible
and I'm one step ahead of the shoe shine.

Let me bring you Coral Progressive Rock

Songs From The Wood
Jethro Tull

Let me bring you songs from the wood:
to make you feel much better than you could know.
Dust you down from tip to toe.
Show you how the garden grows.
Hold you steady as you go.
Join the chorus if you can:
it'll make of you an honest man.

Let me bring you love from the field:
poppies red and roses filled with summer rain.
To heal the wound and still the pain
that threatens again and again
as you drag down every lover's lane.
Life's long celebration's here.
I'll toast you all in penny cheer.

Let me bring you all things refined:
galliards and lute songs served in chilling ale.
Greetings well met fellow, hail!
I am the wind to fill your sail.
I am the cross to take your nail:
A singer of these ageless times.
With kitchen prose and gutter rhymes.

Songs from the wood make you feel much better.

In a while

50 Ways To Leave Your Lover
Paul Simon

The problem is all inside your head, she said to me
The answer is easy if you take it logically
I’d like to help you in your struggle to be free
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover

She said it’s really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning won’t be lost or misconstrued
But I’ll repeat myself at the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover

Just slip out the back, jack
Make a new plan, stan
You don’t need to be coy, roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, gus
You don’t need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, lee
And get yourself free

Just slip out the back, jack
Make a new plan, stan
You don’t need to be coy, roy
Just listen to me
Hop on the bus, gus
You don’t need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, lee
And get yourself free

She said it grieves me so to see you in such pain
I wish there was something I could do to make you smile again
I said I appreciate that and would you please explain
About the fifty ways

She said why don’t we both just sleep on it tonight
And I believe in the morning you’ll begin to see the light
And then she kissed me and I realized she probably was right
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover

Just slip out the back, jack
Make a new plan, stan
You don’t need to be coy, roy
Just listen to me
Hop on the bus, gus
You don’t need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, lee
And get yourself free

E o chapéu do mocinho
Não cai da cabeça.
Isso faz qu´eu não esqueça
O que guardam pra mim...
Eu já vi o desenho,
Já vi esse treiler,
Já vi esse filme que saco!
Eu morro no fim.

Conheço bem o papel que me deram:
A minha sina é o sinal de caim,
E muito antes do bondoso abel
Esvoaçar pro beleléu
Me censuraram o céu.
Pra chatear eu uso sobretudo
E toco as teclas negras dos bemóis
E aguardo o estouro debaixo das camas
E ponho aranhas manchando os lençóis...

Minha tragédia passa a ser comédia
E a velharada baba aplaudindo o final.

A Dream Within A Dream

For my own part
I have never had a thought
Which I could not set down in words
With even more distinctness
Than that which I conceived it

There is however, a class of fancies
Of Exquisite delicacy
Which are not thoughts
And to which is yet, I have found it
Absolutely impossible to adapt to language

These fancies arise in us all
Alas how rarely
Only an epics of most intense tranquility
When the body and mental health are in perfection
And at those mired points of time

Where the confines of the waking world
Blend with the world of dreams
And so I captured this fancy
Where all that we see or seem is but
A Dream Within A Dream

Turn away?

Nothing Left to Lose
Alan Parsons Project

Nothing's good the news is bad
The heat goes on and it drives you mad
Scornful thoughts that fly your way
You should turn away cause there's nothing more to say

You gave the best you had to give
You only have one life to live
You fought so hard you were a slave
After all you gave there was nothing left to save

You've got nothing left to lose (you've got nothing left to lose)
No you've got nothing left to lose (who'd wanna be standing in your shoes)

You read the book, you turn the page,
You change your life in a thousand ways,
The dawn of reason lights your eyes,
With the key you realize,
To the kingdom of the wise

Nothing ventured nothing gained
No more lingering doubt remained
Nothing sacred or profane
Everything to gain
Cause you've nothing left

The Hare Who Lost His Spectacles

This is the story of the hare who lost his spectacles.
Owl loved to rest quietly whilst no one was watching. Sitting on a
Fence one day, he was surprised when suddenly a kangaroo ran close
By.
Now this may not seem strange, but when owl overheard kangaroo whisper
To no one in particular, ``the hare has lost his spectacles,’’ well, he
Began to wonder.
Presently, the moon appeared from behind a cloud and there, lying on
The grass was hare. in the stream that flowed by the grass -- a
Newt. and sitting astride a twig of a bush -- a bee.
Ostensibly motionless, the hare was trembling with excitement, for
Without his spectacles he was completely helpless. Where were his
Spectacles? could someone have stolen them? had he mislaid them? what
Was he to do?
Bee wanted to help, and thinking he had the answer began: ``you
Probably ate them thinking they were a carrot.’’
``no!’’ interrupted owl, who was wise. ``i have good eye-sight, insight,
And foresight. How could an intelligent hare make such a silly
Mistake? ’’ but all this time, owl had been sitting on the fence,
Scowling!
Kangaroo were hopping mad at this sort of talk. She thought herself
Far superior in intelligence to the others. She was their leader;
Their guru. She had the answer: ``hare, you must go in search of the
Optician.’’
But then she realized that hare was completely helpless without his
Spectacles. And so, kangaroo loudly proclaimed, ``i can’t send hare in
Search of anything!’’
``you can guru, you can!’’ shouted newt. ``you can send him with owl.’’
But owl had gone to sleep. Newt knew too much to be stopped by so
Small a problem -- ``you can take him in your pouch.’’ but alas, hare
Was much too big to fit into kangaroo’s pouch.
All this time, it had been quite plain to hare that the others knew
Nothing about spectacles.
As for all their tempting ideas, well hare didn’t care.
The lost spectacles were his own affair.
And after all, hare did have a spare a-pair.
A-pair.

Her home is on the south side, high upon a ridge
Just a half a mile from the mississippi bridge

With "hurry-home" drops on her cheek that trickled from her eye
But we were pulled apart because her mom did not agree
And tore apart our happy home in memphis tennessee

The Show Must Go On, or nothing left to sayve

Day After Day
Alan Parsons Project

Gaze at the sky
And picture a memory
Of days in your life
You knew what it meant to be happy and free
With time on your side

Remember your daddy
When no one was wiser
Your ma used to say
That you would go further than he ever could
With time on your side

Think of a boy with the stars in his eye
Longing to reach them but frightened to try
Sadly, you'd say, someday, someday

But day after day
The show must go on
And time slipped away
Before you could build any castles in Spain
The chance had gone by

With nothing to say
And no one to say it to

Nothing has changed
You've still got it all to do
Surely you know
The chance has gone by

Think of a boy with the stars in his eye
Longing to reach them but frightened to try
Sadly, you'd say, someday, someday

But, day after day
The show must go on
And you gaze at the sky
And picture a memory of days in your life
With time on your side

With time on your side
(Day after day the show must go on)
With time on your side
(Day after day the show must go on

Dark Side Of The Earth, or just another side

Stars
Simply Red
Mick Hucknall

Anyone who ever held you
Would tell you the way I'm feeling
Anyone who ever wanted you
Would try to tell you what I feel inside
The only thing I ever wanted
Was the feeling that you ain't faking
The only one you ever thought about
Wait a minute, can't you see

That I…
Wanna fall from the stars
Straight into your arms
I… I feel you
I hope you comprehend

For the man who tried to hurt you
He's explaining the way I'm feeling
For all the jealousy I caused you
States the reason why I'm trying to hide
As for all the things you taught me
It sends my future into clearer dimensions
You'll never know how much you hurt me
Stay a minute, can't you see

That I…
Wanna fall from the stars
Straight into your arms
I… I feel you
I hope you comprehend

Too many hearts are broken
A lover's promise never came with a maybe
So many words are left unspoken
The silent voices are driving me crazy
After all the pain you caused me
Making up could never be your intention
You'll never know how much you hurt me
Stay, can't you see

That I…
Wanna fall from the stars
Straight into your arms
I… I feel you
I hope you comprehend

That I…
Wanna fall from the stars
Straight into your arms
I… I feel you
I hope you comprehend

Saving My Heart

Yes

In the street where we live there's a place called desire
There's a stone cold intrusion of mad man's fire
That he leaves when the lust and desire released
And you left with an empty room in peace

Chorus:
Saving my heart for you
You do what you wanna do
There's a place in my heart for you
This time I'm watching you
'Till the blood in my veins run dry
I'll be there to testify
There's a place in my heart for you

I've been lost in a maze of emotional compound
I believe that you knew that our faith was secure
How you kept to be smile with the cool disposition
How you stuck in the fire with a new sense of reason

Chorus

You tell me "Take it easy"
but it's not my style
something around the corner
It'll pass you by
I wanna hold you closer
to connect my fortunes
I wanna take you higher
take it out like you did before

E para todos os outros, Cidinha Campos

Ao grande Lucas, Johnny O'rivers

It's Too Late
(Chuck Willis)

I remember when I told you
I would try in every way
To hold you, and love you
And kiss you and keep you
Till my dying day

You just laughed
Said you found somebody new
Someone to make me
Forget about you

And now you tell me
That your new love
Isn´t true
Like he should be
You say you´re gonna forget him
And you´re gonna come back to me

But things have changed
I got me somebody new
Someone to make me
Forget about you
I´m telling you

That it´s too late
To say you´re sorry
It´s too late
To say you´re mine
I have found myself a new love
And I´m gonna make her mine

It´s too late
It´s too late

Many days I tried to call you
Many nights I sat alone
Everyone knew that I loved you
But you had a love of your own

And now that he´s gone
You think you can come back to me
I´m not the same fool
That I used to be
And you´re gonna see

That it´s too late
To say you´re sorry
It´s too late
To say you´re mine
I have found myself a new love
And I´m gonna make her mine

It´s too late
It´s too late
To say you´re mine

I remember when I told you
I would try in every way
To hold you, and kiss you
And keep you, baby
Till my dying day

But you just laughed, ha
Said you found somebody new
Someone to make me
Forget about you

And then you tell me
That this new love
Isn´t true
Like he should be
You say that you´re gonna forget him
And you´re gonna come back to me

But things have changed
I got me somebody new
Someone to make me
Forget about you
I´m telling you

That it´s too late
To say you´re sorry
It´s too late
To say you´re mine
I have found myself a new love
And I´m gonna make her mine

It´s too late
It´s too late
To say you´re mine

Everybody's got

Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey
Lennon / McCartney

Come on.
Come on.
Come on, it's such a joy.
Come on, it's such a joy.
Come on, let's take it easy.
Come on, let's take it easy.
Take it easy.
Take it easy.
Everybody's got something to hide,
except for me and my monkey.

The deeper you go,
the higher you fly.
The higher you fly,
the deeper you go.
So, come on.
Come on.
Come on, it's such a joy.
Come on, it's such a joy.
Come on, let's make it easy.
Come on, let's make it easy.
Take it easy.
Take it easy.
Everybody's got something to hide,
except for me and my monkey.

Your inside is out
when your outside is in.
Your outside it in
when your inside it out.
So, come on.
Come on.
Come on, it's such a joy.
Come on, it's such a joy.
Come on, let's make it easy.
Come on, let's make it easy.
Make it easy.
Make it easy.
Everybody's got something to hide,
except for me and my monkey.

Hey!

Palmas a mim e a vc!

No aqui e no agora.

É o que vale. É o que temos. E isso é ouro!

Ossário

Alexandre Orion – Skulls in Sao Paolo

A few years ago he adorned a transport tunnel in Sao Paolo with a mural consisting of a series of skulls to remind drivers of the detrimental impact their emissions have on the planet.

The Brazilian authorities were incensed but couldn’t actually charge him with anything so they instead cleaned the tunnel. At first they cleaned only the parts Alexandre had cleared but after the artist switched to the opposite wall they had to clean that too. In the end, the authorities decided to wash every tunnel in the city, missing the irony completely, it seems.

A Prefeitura lavou.
